Mustard. It is one of my favorite condiments. I am a mustard man you could say. How does this relate to masculinity? Let me tell you. I am currently an electrician by day. This means I try and slap together a sad excuse for a sack lunch so as not to waste ten to fifteen dollars on one meal. So lately the sandwich rut has been a basic turkey and cheese sandwich. Nothing too out of the ordinary. This long stretch of sandwiches was plagued with basic mustard but then, my lunches were significantly changed. Literally, they will never be the same. What brought this radical alteration? I discovered Hot & Spicy Mustard by Woeber's. This stuff is the shiz. My sandwich game was transformed, it is as though I were to start driving a Ford Model T after a lifetime of riding a horse. Or better yet, I went from eating a school boy's sandwich to a grown man's hoagie.
After applying such a simple change to something so basic. I had an intrinsic epiphany. What else in my life could use a simple alteration that would make significant improvements for the betterment of my reality.
How does this tie into masculinity? Meh, I guess I am just digging a bit, but it has been my observation that if a man (or anyone really) is able to be open to small amounts of adjustment, they will be a stronger person for it. It seems to me that a man who is willing to move forward in life, even if it means the hard transition from standard mustard to the heavenly bliss of Woeber's, this shows a quality that will benefit the him for a lifetime.
What in your life could use a simple change? As a man who works with my hands I personally wonder if there are tools out there that would help me.
