Solid

If you were to describe what it means to be a man in one word, what would it be and why?

 "Solid."

Why? "I see the role of men in our homes, communities, and world as foundational. Women and children need solidness to undergird everything they do.  If the foundation is not solid, nothing else is solid.  The most elaborate house built on a cracked weak foundation can/will come apart."

Who is the manliest person you know and why?

"My dad. In spite of his many flaws, shortcomings, and cracked foundation(his father). He has done his best to be solid and strong for me. He chased away the monsters when he was able."

If you were to describe what it means to be a man in one word, what would it be and why?

Tim ~ “I asked him why he chose this word. What I discovered is that this is not only a word that defines what he thinks it means to be a man but its also a tribute to his recently deceased granddad. As John started describing how his grandpa was a solid man I could almost feel like he was in the room.”
