I have yet to meet a man who doesn't desire to feel confident in his skin and men who already feel confident I am sure they wouldn't mind a little more. I mean come on... that is like every mans dream; to feel a massive sense of confidence and exude it for others to see and feel.
So in general, when thinking about our life and style, the level of our confidence influences the decisions we make. Take a moment and ask yourself this, "When was the last time I chose not to do (Fill in the blank) was because I was not confident enough?" I think you may be surprised if you honestly assess yourself with this question.
Now there are always exceptions but think about the difference between the man who has subtle, timeless style compared to the guy who only wears loud articles of clothing openly trying to get attention.
One way portrays confidence, the other insecurity. The man of security attracts respect, the man lacking confidence attracts judgment.
People might not overtly say anything to you about how you carry yourself, but when you start growing in confidence, there will be tangible results. I know because I have experienced it first hand.
When I was working for an electrical contractor, and I wasn't confident when speaking to clients in my early years I sold a significant amount less, my customers weren't as happy, and my apprentices were super annoying. I regularly felt overwhelmed and beat myself up daily.
When I started carrying myself in confidence after years of pushing through my insecurities, everything changed. When I walking into a room I demanded respect, my clients trusted my words, and my apprentices listened to what I said.
Even if I was unsure of something, I made sure I did not let my customers know that. Why? Because I knew I could figure the issue out and it was something that would make them perceive me as less confident.
Being self-confident will open doors you never knew existed. So you might be asking yourself at this point, "How do you grow in confidence?"
It's straightforward... You just got to start facing the hard shit in life. Yep, that is right. You must stop being a lazy ass and intentionally push through the hard stuff. I can almost guarantee you have a list of hard decisions you have been avoiding. The very second you start taking those head on there will be a memorable shift in your life. Test it, I dare you.
Get up and go to the gym. Hustle for that next sale at work. Read that book collecting dust by your bed. Ask that smoking hot chick out. I don't know what your challenges are, but what I do know is you have the ability to overcome them.
Confidence is like a brick wall. You need to daily, consistently do things to build that wall. Each action stepping out and stretching yourself will put another brick on the wall, and one day you will need all those thousand small, mighty efforts to draw from when life starts to throw punches at you.
You might be thinking "but you said it was really easy...." Well, I did... You know why?
Because the only thing holding you back from this is you and your fucking mental games. Taking action to grow your confidence won't cost you a dime. That is why it's easy. IT DOESN"T COST YOU A DOLLAR. The results of your decisions might, but the decision itself does not cost a thing.
It is free, and no one can to stop you from it, because you are the one making decisions in your life. Sure, they might influence you but you are responsible for your decisions.
It is time you join me in facing fears on a consistent basis. Then the more you take action and build up that hypothetical wall, you will realize that confidence is exuding more and more from you.
So right now, take out a pen and paper and write down five simple hard tasks you are going to do this week. Then do it.
Cheers.
